Closing your interview

When the interview draws to a close, you'll usually be asked if you have any questions for the interviewer, or about the company.

It's worth having 1 or 2 questions in mind ahead of time - some good questions you can ask are:

  • What do I need to be a successful employer at...?
  • What are the biggest challenges/opportunities in this role?
  • What do you like most about working at...?
  • What is the local office culture like at...?
  • What are the next steps following the interviewer?

If you'd like to gauge the interviewer's thoughts, you can ask them whether they have any reservations about you for this role based on the conversation you've had. You can also ask if there's anything that might be missing or unclear from the answers you've provided.

This quick check will allow you to clarify or add a final relevant point, whilst also showing your attention to detail.
