Talent is everywhere, opportunity is not...
Geography plays a major role in the social mobility of graduates from disadvantaged backgrounds looking to enter the job market.
Founded in 2009, The Talent Tap has a mission to deliver long-term social impact by providing life-changing, career enhancing opportunities to young people from social mobility coldspots in the UK, from year 12 upwards. These young people would not otherwise have access to professional networks, employability skills and work experience opportunities.

Why sign up?

Introduction to future talent within STEM
50% of candidates find work directly through introduction. You will receive priority access to new talent pools of graduates with the future STEM skills they need to stay competitive within your market.

Promote your role in closing the skills gap
Partnering with us on this initiative will give you the chance to showcase your efforts against your ESG goals and contribute to closing the social mobility and skills gap.

Access diverse talent beyond local offices
Get access to young people from apprenticeship "cold spots", who would not otherwise have access to upskilling opportunities*. You will be exposing them to the experience they need whilst increasing diversity in your future talent pool.

Workplace skills training
Work experience serves as a reciprocal bridge, offering students a glimpse into the business world while providing you valuable insights into the challenges and expectations of the emerging workforce.

Saving time and money on training
93% of candidates are confident in achieving their career goals after joining The Talent Tap program. Having undergone an impactful programme, these students are poised to enter organisations with a distinct advantage, requiring less 'training' as they possess valuable insights into the dynamics of the business world.

Pre-assessed candidates
You will have the opportunity to build future talent pools of STEM candidates who are engaged and eager to learn and will likely be open to working with them again in the future.

The Talent Tap breaks down the barriers of geography and socio-economic disadvantage to create opportunity, whilst championing social & cognitive diversity in Engineering & STEM.
The impact of the work they do is reflected through the individual outcomes of those they support. Here's what the students say about this program:
Matchtech's purpose
It's not just what we do. It's why.
We are an award-winning business within Gattaca Group with a purpose 'to provide the skills needed to build a better future - one job at a time.'
In order to do that, we need to increase the STEM industry's access to talent. Currently, only 1 in 5 disadvantaged young people obtain work experience in their chosen career**, pointing to a major barrier to entry to the STEM market.
You can help us break down the socio-economic and geographic barriers that exist within STEM.
