Climate impact and emissions reduction are naturally woven throughout the strategies of our STEM clients.

We are in a privileged position to source the engineering and technology skills they require to both meet their own decarbonisation targets and innovate to drive towards the broader climate agenda.

Within the Renewable Energy sector, we have provided the talent to build, maintain and develop many offshore wind farms across Europe. Our Mobility sector works with major Automotive, Aerospace and Maritime brands to develop electric, hybrid and hydrogen powered vehicles. Our Infrastructure sector partners with major consultancies and contractors to develop sustainable environments, as well as with network operators to revolutionise the smart grid.

We also increasingly source the sustainability, environmental and ESG specialisms that our clients require to govern and manage their own strategies.

During FY24 we partnered with a range of different organisations to source the STEM talent they require to contribute towards the development of a low-carbon future.

Energy

  • RWE: The world’s number two in offshore wind power & generation
  • SSE & Orsted: Sourcing Construction & Project Managers to support energy transition

  • BP Lighthouse: Placing highly skilled Contractors to Europe's largest solar power provider
  • SLPE: Supporting them in their goal to become the world's leading Offshore Wind Designer
  • Saipem: Supporting them in their transition to clean energy
  • JBO: German based Offshore Wind Foundations Designer

Infrastructure

  • Portsmouth Water & Southern Water: Collaboration project at Havant & Thickett Reservoir, designed to safeguard water resources in the South East
  • UK National Highways: Recruiting talent to work in their sustainability schemes, aligned with the government's Net Zero 2050 goal
  • WSP: Recruitment partnership to supply talent across all of their projects to reduce carbon emissions and improve sustainability

Mobility

  • Intelligent Energy: Hydrogen Fuel Cell projects for Automotive and Aerospace applications
  • Sunswap: Revolutionising the Cold Chain through battery and solar technology
  • Ricardo: Sourcing engineering talent to work on a specific project to support the decarbonisation of the shipping industry
  • Hydrogen Propulsion Superyachts for a South Coast SME

This year we launched Matchtech’s Green Jobs microsite in order to track and monitor our green jobs contribution across all of our sectors, as well as promote the live jobs we have with a specific environmental remit. Click here to access our site.

Hear from our colleagues

Marcus Roberts Team Leader – Mobility

“Working in GreenTech brings me immense satisfaction as it allows me to contribute to the UK Mobility market's transition towards Net Zero emissions, directly impacting climate change. This work gives me a sense of purpose, knowing I'm helping create a greener world for my daughter's future, which she passionately advocates for. It aligns with both my professional goals and personal values, making it a truly rewarding journey."

Diego Baynes Team Leader - Renewable Energy

"Before transitioning into the renewable energy industry, I felt a sense of something missing in my career. Since joining the sector, I can confidently say it has been the most fulfilling chapter of my career. It has provided me with a renewed sense of purpose and pride, knowing that I am contributing, even in a small way, to the clean energy movement and the journey toward Net Zero."
