Inclusive behaviours & recruitment practices
We believe, as an employer and staffing provider, we can significantly contribute to eradicating discrimination and inequalities within ours and our clients' workplaces.
Creating equitable, diverse & inclusive workforces will help to build a better world where everyone is valued for their contributions and treated with respect.
We know that ED&I is a marathon without a finish line. To drive systemic change, we need tools, inspiration, expertise, and incentives to stay in the fight.
In FY22 we shared our ambition to drive our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion agenda. We have now defined our ED&I strategy, led by our Head of ED&I and Talent, Sally Spicer.

Sally Spicer - Head of ED&I and Talent
"I’ve spent 20 years working in recruitment, and my role as Head of ED&I and Talent is the culmination of years of investing in people and understanding the individual value they can bring to an organisation. Those who know me will know I am passionate about everyone achieving their potential in their careers and I am thrilled to be leading our ED&I strategy."
Our ED&I Strategy
Our long-term ED&I strategy, built around accountability, commitment and community, enables us to take purposeful forward action.
Celebrating as a Community
Our long-term ED&I strategy, built around accountability, commitment and community enables us to take purposeful forward action.
We celebrated Pride Month with external speaker, Mia Weston, sharing their personal journey and educating our colleagues on LGBTQIA+ history and the importance of allyship.

In addition to celebrating Pride, we have:
- Shared personal stories from around our business
- Launched our first book club discussing Dismantling Systemic Racism in the workplace
- Held focus group conversations around menopause and colleague support
- Hosted six Limitless sessions, empowering our female-identifying staff to communicate with confidence, achieve balance and effectively career plan
Inclusive Employers

In FY23, we became members of Inclusive Employers, the UK’s first and leading network for employers looking to build inclusive workplaces. Our membership gives us access to expert consultancy on our strategy, training, resources and events from industry leaders, and collaboration with over 300 employers committed to driving ED&I both internally and across their industries.
Inclusive Recruitment

In addition to embedding Inclusive Recruitment practices within our internal talent acquisition operations we have also invested in a ‘train the trainer’ programme to be delivered by Jo Major of Inclusive Recruitment. Our aspirations throughout FY24 are to cascade our learnings throughout our recruitment operations. Enabling large scale social impact within the STEM industries we serve.
Inclusive Leadership Development

Our commitment to inclusivity goes beyond recruitment practices. Investing in leadership capabilities is paramount to the future success of our organisation. As we work to increase the presence of our underrepresented colleagues, we must also deepen our focus on equipping our leaders with the capabilities they need to cultivate inclusive environments.
Our investment in inclusive leadership training is a commitment to our leadership community and involved a successful programme led by Simi Rayat CPsychol, Inclusive Behaviour Expert and Organisation Psychologist.

We know the benefits of social impacts can take time to be realised and our results don’t always reflect our efforts.
As we move into FY24 we will look to set ambitious targets for underrepresented groups proximity to power to complement our gender parity commitment.
In addition to our efforts at Gattaca, we want to continue to contribute positively to the recruitment industry as a whole.
